April Fool's

I was so proud of myself today because I pulled off a couple of fun April Fool's pranks. Both of which were geared toward the boys! First, I short sheeted Parker's bed and then I placed a whole bunch of plastic army people in Cooper's pillowcase and covered his pillow with his blankie! Too funny!!! I was laughing so hard as Cooper laid his head down on his pillow and the look on his face was priceless. Then watching Parker jump into bed as he always does and realize...hey, my legs can't straighten out!! Mission accomplished....I got both of them!!! Parker thought it was hilarious but Cooper didn't think it was as funny! All in all, it was a good time had by everyone! Just think of the endless possibilities I have now as the boys get older?!?! Honey and Saran Wrap on the toilet seat.....taped down water nozzles.....shaving cream....oh I can hardly wait!!!

Edible Book Fest

Today was the deadline! Parker submitted his entry into the Edible Book Fest at school. The object was to create an edible item depicting your favorite book. What a terrific idea! Parker's favorite book right now is one of the Magic Tree House books titled Stage Fright on a Summer Night! So....he came up with the whole idea! I was very impressed with his creative thoughts. Honestly, my first thought was....how in the world are we going to build a stage depicting a Shakespearean play?!?!? But....Parker was the brain behind it all and the rest of us only helped in a few ways. It was a fun task that all of us enjoyed! And...the icing on the cake was that the entire school voted on all of the entries and Parker was awarded 1st place as you can tell from the picture! He was totally thrilled and I was so proud of him. Now Cooper can't wait until Kindergarten so he can make something from his favorite book....Funny Bunny!!

3rd Quarter

Way to go Parker!!! Today his school had a celebration assembly for all achievements during 3rd Quarter! Parker received an award for Outstanding Work Habits! We are so proud of him. Parker was just thrilled that his teacher nominated him for an award especially since he has only been in class for a few weeks! Imagine what next quarter may bring!!!

Worker Bee's

Well, one of our first weekends in our new home in Casper and the boys were set to help out Uncle Mike! Even better....Uncle Mike gave each boy their own Home Depot helper aprons!!! Don't they look cute!!!

Amazing Pizza Machine

What can I say....we had a blast as usual! It was bitter sweet though because it was our last trip to the Amazing Pizza Machine with our good friends "The Mckenzies". We miss going to the Amazing Pizza Machine but we miss our dear friends more!!!! Good times and good memories!

Landforms

Parker had a test on landforms today! They have been learning about different landforms for the past week or so in science class. They even made their own clay in class to mold and use for the test. As you can see by the picture....Parker did awesome! I am impressed given the fact that he had absolutely no help from and adult. Just told to choose 4 different landforms and mold them! If you are wondering what the yellow mounds are on the plain....just like I was....he told me that they represent corn. Quite fitting given the fact that we are surround by corn out here in Iowa!!! Great job Parker!!!
