Wouldn't ya know!! The principal at Parker's school is from Nebraska and hence he is a HUGE Husker fan!!! Whenever he has seen either boy with their Husker hats or shirts on he always makes a point of giving them a high five or a thumbs up!! Of course, this makes the boys feel way cool!! Even though we only lived in Husker land for a couple years.....we are big fans now! Here is a pic of a tie that Parker's principal made for every teacher in the school to wear to celebrate the Huskers. One of Parker's teachers let him have hers!!!

Track Day
Today was Track Day for Parker's school! The entire school was bussed to one of the high schools here in town and they spent the whole day having fun! Kindergarten thru 2nd grade participated in field events in the morning and then track events in the afternoon. In between, we ate lunch in the football stadium! It was fun to watch all of the kids but even better seeing all of the parents who spent the day with their children...cheering them on! As you can tell by one of the pictures Parker received 2 1st place ribbons, 1 third place ribbon and 1 fourth place ribbon for his running races!!! What I liked the most is that once a child received a 1st place ribbon they were then grouped with other 1st place ribbon winners in the next race. This provided an opportunity for everyone to get at least one 1st place ribbon!!! Great job on the part of the PE teacher!!!! All in all, it was a great day had by everyone! Now....Cooper is super excited to be able to participate in Track Day next year as a kindergartner!
